A tortoiseshell acrylic chain bracelet

Un bracelet en chaîne acrylique type écaille

"It's time to get down to business :D . I'm going to show you how to make a trendy bracelet.

To get started, gather your pliers and the equipment you will need.
My tip: I prefer to use two flat-nose pliers without teeth rather than one pair of flat-nose pliers and one pair of fine-nose pliers. Since the rings are larger, you need to hold them securely without hurting yourself (by slipping with the pliers). However, you can manage with regular pliers .
Step 1: Take the chain and wrap it around your wrist to take the measurements.
My advice when cutting or separating links: when the links are not soldered, allow at least 1 cm to be removed to make room for the clasp and chain. For example: if your wrist measures 14 cm, cut the chain to 13 or even 12 cm.
Step 2: I take my two pair of flat-nose pliers (or the flat-nose pliers and the fine-nose pliers) and open my jump ring by tilting my right hand towards me. You can review the technique in the " opening and closing a jump ring " tutorial .

There's another way to do it. Take a piece of string or cord. Then wrap it around your wrist. Next, measure the length of the cord with a ruler, keeping it perfectly flat. This will give you the correct measurement. Remember to subtract at least 2 cm when cutting to allow for the clasp and chain.
Step 3: Take a ring and open it. Pass your ring through the chain and the chain link.
Step 4: Next, you need to close it. If you don't know how, refer to the " Opening and Closing a Jump Ring " tutorial on our blog. Do the same on the other side: open your jump ring, thread the clasp and the chain.
Step 5: Swap the disc at the end of the chain to replace it with a prettier one.
Your trendy bracelet is finished. You'll be able to wear it every day.
See you soon for a new tutorial !
